This episode features Dr. Keith White discussing the emerging threat environment, with respect to network and application vulnerabilities.
Looking at the vulnerability life cycle - In the past, a product was shipped, a vulnerability is subsequently discovered, and at some point after that, exploit code is potentially released, a patch or software repair is officially released and is deployed and the risk is mitigated. Exploit creation is getting faster and faster – primarily due to the ease of access to advanced exploit development tools available to hackers on the internet.
During this podcast, White explores some new ways to approach vulnerability management using the latest automated services and how they can be used to manage and remediate vulnerabilities in large and complex networks.
